The study project was carried out to analyze the health status in Machakos county. The specific objectives for the study were to study the general health status throughout each of the years 2013 to 2017, to investigate the general trend in the health levels for the years under study and to come up with possible solutions or recommendations regarding the health status in Machakos county.Data was collected at the county level.In the study, limitations of utilization of DHIS and reduced effectiveness of health care services management were also looked at in detail. Different methods of data analysis involving the R programming environment were applied. These methods visualized the data for clear observations and discussions as far as data analysis was concerned. Nearly all the items concerning the data were separately analyzed and conclusions drawn. Recommendations resulting from the data analysis were made.
